Kill the lawn in the winter then restart in the spring. There is too many weed grasses in that lawn to make it effective imo

Try to make sure birds including pigeons don't poop on your lawn because their poop can contain dozens of weed seeds... also try to stop any wind from entering your garden because thousands of seeds can land across your lawn from a simple gust of wind... good luck 👍

Since there was some terms confusion in the video I thought I would clear out the difference between these tools: Aerator: makes holes in the ground to remove compaction, better irrigation and makes water escape easier to prevent creating clay type of soil Scarrifier: makes "scars" in the soil to cut through the roots and remove a bit of thatch as well, can be used to prepare soil for seeding too Dethatcher: thinner (usually spring) blade that goes into thatch layer above ground and removes dead grass to create space for now growth Verticutter: stands for vertical cut and can have either Dethatcher or Sarrifier blade on it (both blades can be labeled by "veticutting")

I've just scarified and power raked my lawn, and laid down the grass seed. Should I put fertilizer down and if so what type? And, should I put it down before I throw top soil on to the seed, or after? Thanks

You dripped the oul on the deck when you started. Ive used this product a lot and that will show cause you cant even it out plus you were standing on parts youd just oiled. Wouldnt want to see that close up.
